Abstract
Man and the circumstances influencing his activities have always interested Georges Duhamel. This concern developed from a profound desire to aid, to improve, and to cure the ills of mankind. Having become a physician, he was able to fulfill his wishes, particularly in his surgical experiences on the battle front where he treated thousands for all types of human miseries. [...] The aim of this study is to show the extent of Duhamel's understanding of the society of his time considering man as the active participant in its formation
