Nearly every modern language has been utilized to present to the reading public literary productions showing the importance of Ralph Waldo Emerson as a writer. Studies in this respect are to be found in German, French, Spanish, to say nothing of English. Monographs, essays, biographies, and treaties in all of these languages deal with one aspect or another of this man who had unprecedented influence on nineteenth century America
