Abstract
The attempt by the state of Mississippi to provide for the education of its people, both white and Negro, has been an arduous one. Especially difficult has been the attempt to provide adequate educational opportunities for its Negro group, and although some progress has been made there is still too wide a discrepancy between what has been done and the minimum of what could be done with regard to the physical facilities, teaching personnel, and curricula content.
